Postage Hike May 12, 2009

Like the last 2 years, postage rates are increasing on May 12th. Stamps for your headshot mailings will likely cost 4 cents more than they do now. If you are paying $0.83, the lowest large envelope stamp rate, it'll cost $0.88 starting May 12th (depending how heavy your submission is). You'll pay $1.05 in stamps for a large envelope that now costs $1 (a 'flat' more than 1 ounce but less than 2 ounces). Postcard stamps will cost one cent more, $0.28 each.

After the rate change, you may want to have the post office weigh your mailing to double check the cost and the stamps you have on it. The post office still has their postcard postage calculator online to figure out how many/what stamps are required.
