I've mentioned before the importance of breathing, but it is worth bringing up again. Not only is vocal production almost defined by this simple act, and the breath of a character can be a touchstone for recognizing them (Kevin Spacey on Inside the Actors Studio got the audience to recognize an entire imitation by simply breathing in once). But breathing in a broader sense, taking a moment and connecting to what is and is not going on right now, can be very useful in life too. So right now, take a deep breath.
It is easy to forget to. Literally, and metaphorically. A mentor used to point out that many a bad decision has been made while the decider was holding their breath. He'd also point out that a career can be shaped by a series of well made decisions. So breathe.
