Resume as only PDF is fail
I've noticed a disturbing number of actors' websites offer their resume only as a PDF. This is not a good idea. A PDF as a printable option is good, but as usability studies suggest, PDF as the only option for a resume is a bad idea. If you'd like help with your site or any of your online presence please let me know. I also sometimes blog about internet strategy in a more general sense as well.

comments: What would you say about simply linking to IMDB, if you keep the page current? Great advice, BTW. Enjoying the read.
Short version: IMDB doesn't capture or accept all updated credits. Using IMDB resume highlights how many of your credits have not been added to your IMDB profile, and may look less legitimate. The broader issue is: Actors control their own site only, and merely have influence over sites owned by others, like imdb (or actorsaccess, etc.). A post on the purpose of an actors own website, and how it is different than the profiles on other sites is something I can write. Would that interest you? And thank you. Post a Comment
