iPod More Popular than Beer for College Students

This year, three quarters of 1,200 college students surveyed said that iPods are the most important trend of the year
(from Discovery Channel Canada). Since college students are typically a big part of the movie going public... does this mean more access to their time/attention for maker of quality footage, or less movie going? Or simple self awareness amongst college students?

Small format/online video may continue to grow as this demographic has more money to spend as they get into the workforce (and new college students take their place).
