Slow-Cooked Success: The idea that success is not a sudden event, and career longevity is not assured by any single flurry of activity. Sounding vaguely like the tortise and the hare, John Taylor seems to suggest that slow and steady can accomplish more than short-term extreme effort. Though he's writing about musicians, I think it applies to actors as well.
